Founded in 1957, United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas is dedicated to the care and advancement of people with severe to mild physical and mental disabilities. In our quest for revolutionary ways to provide training and employment for people with disabilities, a new division of United Cerebral Palsy was created- Ultra Cartridge Products.
Initially funded in 2000 by a 3-year grant from the Arkansas Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council, Ultra Cartridge Products has been providing quality training and meaningful employment opportunities in our factory located in North Little Rock, Arkansas. We train and employ individuals with disabilities in every step involved in the re-manufacturing of toner cartridges. From the detailed processes of re-manufacturing the toner cartridges and component re-manufacturing; to cartridge testing and repairing; and finally to the basics of labeling and shipping, we offer a wide range of training and employment which is specifically geared to an individuals abilities. By utilizing specialized equipment which is fitted to our employees’ needs, we have been able to overcome some of our employee’s limits in the workplace.
After the toner cartridges are re-manufactured, tested, and packed, Ultra Cartridge Products then sells them to private individuals, businesses, universities, state offices, and federal offices. Sales have been increasing from the first day of operation, and since securing contracts with the State of Arkansas, and more recently GSA, we are quite proud of our continuing growth and future outlook.
The support for our project and its product has been overwhelming from the conception of Ultra Cartridge Products. All of our valued customers are not only satisfied with purchasing very competitively priced quality products, but they feel good in the fact that every cartridge purchased or donated to Ultra Cartridge Products is used to create training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
